Why Wrist Authority?
The Wrist Authority service registers your new or used watch at the time of purchase from a participating retailer and registers who is the actual owner of a watch by recording any financial interest. Our service validates who owns a watch helping retailers, insurance companies, finance companies and auction houses, to assist with reducing potential fraud and misrepresentation.
What do I receive when registering my new or used watch?
When a retailer registers your watch on the Wrist Authority – Ownership Beyond Doubt system you will receive an email with log-in details to your account and a copy of your certificate.
Can all watch retailers register a watch on the Wrist Authority system?
The registration and validation service is only available from a Wrist Authority authorised retailer. If your retailer is not registered supplier of the Wrist Authority service you can ask them to join.
How do I update my details on the Wrist Authority system?
When the retailer registers your watch on the system you will receive an email with log-in details to your account. Here you will be able to update some basic details e.g. address change, removing a watch or print out your Ownership Beyond Doubt certificate with your latest details.
Does Wrist Authority release my personal information?
No, we will never reveal or release your personal information. The system is based on a matching process where if a retailer wants to validate your ownership, they will use the information you provide to get a match or no match to the information provided by yourself including the Ownership Beyond Doubt certificate number.
What if I have more than one watch registered with Wrist Authority?
Provided you used the same email address for all your watch registration purchases you will be able to manage them all from one user account.
What are the benefits of the Wrist Authority service when I sell my watch?
If your watch is registered with the Wrist Authority service, any registered retailer will be able to verify your ownership details and may protect you from any potential related identity or watch theft or crime.
Do I have to pay annually for the Wrist Authority registration of my watch?
No, the registration and our service is a for the lifetime of your ownership of each watch you register.
What does the Wrist authority not do?
We are totally independent and have no association with the stolen watch register.
